It can seem pointless when you only have a few minutes to spare each day… but if you use your time wisely you WILL see progress. Slow progress is progress, so don’t be discouraged^^ NEVER EVER compare yourself to others. Everyone has different experiences and others may have more time than you. Tt’s not a race… it’s your own personal journey 💕
If you learn AT LEAST one new thing every day, you WILL progress
That’s the important thing to remember. And if you learn 10 things you feel super productive and good about yourself. This also makes for much less stressful studying. If studying is stressful, it wont be fun and you’ll hate it. So the key is to adjust time spent and content reviewed until you find something that doesn’t stress you
So what are my tips and how do i study?
It’s simple^^ ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS carry a page of notes with you! You never know when you will get a spare second.
1) Lay your notes out during mealtime so you can study and eat
2) Make it to class/work with 2 mintues to spare? Grab your notes
3) Class ended early? Grab your notes!
4) Can’t sleep? Grab your notes!
5) Having tummy troubles? Instead of staring at the wall or reading the paper/scrolling through your phone, grab your notes!!
I make a summary of grammar I learn like this, so that I can refresh

I test myself on recently learned/infrequently used words to see if I remember correctly and I make a verrry short list of new words to memorize. I never make my list of new words over 5. The next day I quiz myself by writing them without looking. The ones I cant remember will remain on my new vocab list and I add a couple more words. Adjust the number of your “new words” list until you find one that suits you. I suggest you start small to avoid stress!
(fun fact for those that can read my handwriting. I’m still getting 끓다 to boil and 꿇다 to kneel, mixed up😭)

I also take note of sentences I either want to remember the construction of, or I actually guessed accurately, and review it periodically

And obviously, talk to natives
talking doesnt feel like studying^^
theres several apps like
hellotalk
italki
speaky
tandem
BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY REVIEW REVIEW REVIEW!!!!!! Never skip over something just because you know it. Things are easily forgotten 😅
I see that tip allll the time “skip what you know”…. That’s cool until you end up not seeing it enough and forgetting about it. You can’t take shortcuts in language learning (unfortunately)
Conclusion
As you can see, you can always make at least a little time each day to study. It all comes down to your determination!!. Are you willing to skip out on facebook or instagram in order to learn a couple new words or review grammar? Think of all the times your on your phone for fun and not something actually necessary. Those are times you could study. You can also go to bed a little later or wake up a littler earlier. (but don’t sacrifice too much sleep so you don’t risk your health…. like I’m doing…. Do as I say, not as I do!!!
So if you are determined enough, you can make the time:)
Anyways I hope this is somewhat helpful~
