Allergy Vocab

I have awful pollen allergies and I’m confined to my house because of it.

I literally wake up sneezing.

I was talking to my 한국인 친구 about it and I thought I’d give y’all some vocab!

~Note: it is often also spelled 알러지, so you may also see that and can use that as well

꽃 = flower

가루 = powder

꽃 + 가루 = 꽃가루 (flower powder)

알레르기 있다

To have allergies

In Korean you don’t say that you’re allergic to something, you say that you have ‘_ allergies’.

Pollen allergies

콧물이 흘리다

For your nose to be running

콧물 = snot

흘리다 = to leak/drip

눈이 부어있다

For your eyes to be puffy

눈 = eyes

Appears to be a form of 붓다, meaning ‘to swell’ [This is weird but I got my info from a native]

This was a short post, but hopefully it was helpful!
